Please let me know if this would be a good idea for a diversity essay.

So I am a mexican american student from CA, but I am second generation in my family. I am also not very fluent in spanish. However, I attended a high school with primarily hispanic peers and white was the minority. Going into college, I am attending one of the most diverse colleges in the US and have been introduced to some different ethnic backgrounds. The diversity of the campus really fostered an environment where i could help out diverse populations in the community through various extracurriculars. Two of which i mentioned in my personal statement but I want to mention again. One of them is a cooking club that provided food for food insecure students on the campus. The other is a clinical experience where i was a health coach in a family care clinic teaching patients about their chronic illnesses (diabetes, hypertension, etc) and providing them with resources and tools to make lifestyle changes. Both of these I feel have contributed to my ability to work with diverse patient populations and health education is something that i want to further implement at whichever school i attend as well as when I am a physician. We often times dont look into the cultural, religious, socioeconomic barriers that are preventing our patients from fully making a change, particularly in Southern California where this all took place. I would want to bring this view point into my PBL sessions, the classroom, my future clinic etc

Does this sound like an alright response?
