I'm pre-writing secondaries and this one has me in a bind. Anyone have thoughts about this? I'm bouncing back and forth talking about what I study (philosophy) and where I'm from (rural country). Currently I'm writing about both but it is pretty difficult due to the character limit.

Is discussing my field of study a pretentious way of saying I'm diverse? Or should I stick to my country roots?
