Diversity Topic Help

I'm really struggling with my diversity essay. Do any of these ideas sound like they could be okay?
2.) Growing up with my mother running a daycare out of the house and having to take on a ton of responsibility like cooking and taking care of other kids at a young age to help out. I would talk about how I learned to solve issues between people and bring them together.

3.) Cooking - I'm a pretty avid cook, but I'm not sure what I could say this adds to the school though. I could try and tie it into number 2 as well if I could think of something because my love of cooking came from learning how to do it way back then.

I vote for 2, but also like your idea about tying in 3.
