- 3.78 GPA (waiting for my application to get verified, should be any day now...)

MCAT score(s) and breakdown

- 514: 130/126/130/128

State of residence or country of citizenship (if non-US)

- North Carolina

Ethnicity and/or race

- Hispanic, first generation (mother immigrated from Peru)

Undergraduate institution or category

- UNC-Charlotte

Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer)

- 200 hours in ED department as a volunteer
- Season volunteer at children's hospital

Research experience and productivity

- Clinical research with one presentation at a national surgical conference and another at an MD-PhD conference. First author in both
- University research with RNA technology and Organic Chemistry
- Educational research presentation at State Conference (Alternative Strategies in Teaching Physics

Shadowing experience and specialties represented

- Worked one on one with a physician for the "Cannon Scholar Research" program
- Shadowed 5+ physicians, have LORs from 3 physicians.

Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc.)

- My sophomore year of college I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was a life changing experience, as it ended my collegiate sports career and I had to have surgery followed by months of recovery. I would classify it as "adversity", however, I don't that word does justice to how significant of an impact it had on life and what I had to overcome.

Buy MSAR, it's definitely worth the 30$.

Are you applying this cycle? For Fall 2018 matriculation? You're not too late but it is getting to a point where apps now are at a disadvantage so you need to move quick.

Your stats and EC look good. Do you speak Spanish or have any ties to your ethnic community? That will serve you also. I personally think you can apply broadly to schools you are interested in, but I would target schools such as Miami, Temple, Case, etc.
