Hello everyone!

I will be appearing for the DLOSCE examination in November and wanted to know if anyone here has appeared for it yet?

Any experience with the examination will be really helpful.

Also, If someone is appearing anytime soon, discussions regarding study material are welcome.

I'm interested in hearing about others experience as well as I will be taking the DLOSCE in November as well.

Long time reader first time poster. Anyone take the DLOSCE this past time around? Would love to hear any feedback or experiences.

I gave the exam 2 weeks ago, waiting for my result.

The exam was horrible for me tbh. I have been out of touch with clinical dentistry for the better part of a decade now having been in residency in Oral Medicine and then radiology now.

The questions were mostly like the practice questions they have provided on their website. My problem was the subjective nature of the questions, I may think of a restoration as acceptable but they might consider it slightly overtapered or something and for someone who hasn't been practically cutting cavities or crown preps, giving my evaluation based on clinical pictures or 3D models was really hard.

Questions were pretty straight forward though, most of them. Anyone who is a DS4 or recent grad or actively involved in clinical dental practice should be fine.

I'm hearing high percentage pass rate with consideration being taken to obstacles to licensure given the COVID-19 pandemic. Wait a mechanism of licensing that doesn't take advantage of students and nickel and dime them over and over? I can't believe this hasn't caught on with more state boards. Unbelievable what the CDCA is doing. I'll be taking DLOSCE.
