2 questions about filling in the experience section of PASS:
1. Did you include shadowing done prior to dental school? What about external rotations done in dental school (not externships, but rotations required for all D3/D4 students that are off-site)?
2. I went on a dental service/mission type trip to Mexico prior to dental school where we provided free dental care. I am not a hygienist, nor did I have any formal dental training (other than on-the-job training for dental assisting) at the time of the trip. I did cleanings and even extracted a few (very perio-involved) teeth under the close supervision of US dentists on the trip with us. Is it OK for me to mention this in describing the trip since I wouldn't legally be allowed to do cleanings or extractions as a dental assistant in the US?
