So cliche and what not, but a friend of mine who's applying to pharm school recently got caught with no real evidence against him in a DMCA violation using his university's network or his University account and is being forced to pay a fine. ( Just checked, it's the university that's filing an offense against him and forcing him to pay a fine).
Is this an application killer? Should he get a lawyer?

I highly doubt this will be an issue. Also this is pre-allo.

I find that pre-alloers are extraordinarily litigious so I know I'd get some good insight for him. But yah, I didn't know what to think.

No real evidence? Lol if he is using the schools network hes logged in eith his id. Thats pretty solid.

Also this isnt a big deal, but I'm surprised there is a fine. I thought they did away with those, and you were givig warnings by having your internet cut off.

evidently his school has had issues before with people on the same floor getting cross blamed. But yah. thanks, this answers my question.

Yeeeeeeeeeeah ohkay.

Yeeeeeeeeeeah ohkay.

Well he apparently shared a movie, a movie that I know he wouldn't be near unless he wanted to mock it intensely while wearing a wig, make up, and a fake pearl necklace and a toy karaoke set.

Don't worry about it unless you know it will go on file as an Institutional Action.

If it does, then write about it in the AMCAS/AACOMAS app briefly, focusing on how you learned from your mistakes.

Pretty minor thing, most adcoms probably won't care. Feel free to correct me though.

Tell your "friend" to get PeerBlock.
