This is Kelly. I just wanted to jump in here and let you know that we do have a very normal marriage, despite the lies that Rick likes to tell. I'm terribly sorry that my husband has degraded the quality of this web site so badly. I usually make him keep that side of himself hidden. He does keep me laughing, though. I also can't wait to meet you (and Jane), and you will definitely be invited to dinner as soon as we get settled in. Just let me know what type of food you like. It's nice to know we have friends in DSM already!

First of all,.... holy guacamole.... Y'all posted so much but so little 😀 Y'all are characters, that's for sure... can't wait to meet y'all.... (BTW, I don't have a midwestern accent.... just my typing 😉 )

As I'm isolating myself from society for this wonderful test called COMLEX 1, I'm beginning to realize that the more I study the more I debate on answers on exams and end up getting them wrong....

As this is fresh in my mind, I thought I'd impart some advice....

1) Don't bother yourself with multiple study guides/review books!!! It's not worth the time and y'all just end up juggling too many things in your mind.... asking yourself, which book or where did I learn this "material" from....
2) If you really want to study ahead.... Get FIRST AID for STEP 1 and Step-UP.... Do those over and over and over again.... over and over and over....

For more details I utilized the following review books:
1) Microbiology made ridiculously simple
2) Lippincott's Pharmacology (2nd Edition)
3) Savarese's OMT Review
4) BRS (board review series) Pathology
5) BRS Physiology
6) High Yield Anatomy (opps.... I forgot about this one....)

When all that is said and done.... I ended up going back to FIRST AID for STEP 1 and Step-UP....

I'm gonna go back to study again.... <7days left....

sorry I disappeared off the face of the earth...trying to get all my stuff sorted out. anywho, I'm starting to panic as far as apartments go. looks like I'm going to try and find a one BR or a studio. 3000 grand was looking nice, but without a roommate, it's as expensive as philadelphia, which kind of defeats the purpose of living in des moines. the roommate list doesn't provide too many appealing alternatives, either. My preference was to live with a female, preferably a victoria's secret model, but i didn't find any. 🙁

JP good luck with boards. lippincott's is our current potty-book. i love the pictures that they have for symptoms and side effects, like insomnia or diarrhea. hehe.

i'm thinking that i might end up moving to dsm a little earlier than previously anticipated, maybe 2nd week in july, just in time for the bastille day festivities. anyone else going to be there? lemme know, I'll talk to you guys soon.

PS does anyone know the specs on the laptops--if there's a lot of HD space on them, I'm going to get rid of my current laptop.

so yesterday for the first time, I went to Canada!! I've lived in Seattle for 2 years and I figured it was time that I drove up there. It was awesome!

I dont know about T-mobile or AT&T, but Verizon is awsome. I had great coverage in DSM and have great coverage here in Cali. JP swears by Sprint, but I had bad reception with them for 2 years and was pissed off about that so I ended up going with Verizon.
