You've been talking in your sleep
Sleeping in your dreams
With some sweet lover

Holding her so tight
Loving her the way
You used to love me.

You've been talking in your sleep
With loving on your mind...

Amazing how quiet our thread got as soon as the exams started rolling in! Ha Anatomy tomarrow, bring it baby!!! WOOWOOO!!

Ok so I'm getting punch drunk...but at least I'm drunk! 😀

Good luck, to all you 08ers...find joy in anatomy and your life will be a much better place 😉

I LOVE Behavioral Medicine. It is the best taught, most organized, and the most clinically relevant class I've taken so far. Starting tomorrow this becomes my way of thinking.

I have to add that I love the test format of read all the notes and the book, good now I will test on stuff you should have recieved via osmosis, and not the rest.

Ahhh yes the infamous Behavioral Medicine.............I'm glad to hear that since it went so well last year that they kept it the same. Now that you've taken that with anatomy you can consider yourself med students (which means you just got served).

Cliff

After that test, I can't tell if I got served, punk'd, or reamed.

Trust me you got served...........you've never seen hips move like that before.........so much gyration they must be double jointed...............damn anatomy and behavioral med.

Ohhhh how that sounds soooo familiar.... It happens every year.... and only a few of us come back to chat with in coming students....

Good luck on your exams.... Later 😎

wow, we just can't keep a conversation going in our thread. 2 weeks without a post. The second years chat up a storm about their delusions of grandure and here we are, just studying. Pathetic..

These are just numbers, I"ve done quite a bit of extracurriculars including DO shadowing. Do I have a realistic shot or is my MCAT too low?

Also, where can I get info on where DMU students match for their residencies?

I think you have a very good chance of getting in. Our average MCAT was 24.7 and our GPA was in the range of 3.5, so I think you're golden. It never hurts to give it a shot, but give it an early shot!! The earlier the better. You'll love it here. I do.

I'm going to need help from someone else on the residency match list.

Seth

For match lists, contact the addmissions office. They should be able to send you the past few years.

Did your class fall off the face of the earth........I know you aren't that busy you dont' even have a test this week......and you can always post in our forum we don't discriminate there 👍

yeah our class did. In fact some of us don't even go to lecture any more.

I have an interview coming up at DMU and am having a hard time finding information about where students rotate their 3rd and 4th years of medical school. I also wanted to find out what hospitals DMU is affiliated with and where students match for residencies. I would really appreciate if someone could tell me where to get this information or if anyone has anecdotal information!

Thanks!

I just PM'd you with some of this info.....

They will discuss some of this information on interview day also and the admissions office will provide you with this if you email them. They're nice people as I'm sure you already know. What day do you interview??

My wife and I currently rent a large one bedroom apartment at Windsor Terrace apartments (directly across the street from school). My wife and I have maintained this apartment for the last 2 years for when I return to Des Moines for my fellowship rotations. Since we are both from the east coast we would like to find incoming or current DMU student who would also like to avoid a long distance move or is relocating within Des Moines and would like to purchase our furnitiure/and furnishings as needed. The furniture we purchased has only seen 8 months of use so far and only 12 months by the time I graduate. Our current rent is only $600.00/ month and the landlord days rents are not expected to be raised, at least this year. We also rent a garage spot for $20-$40 depending on the season which is nice for the snowy months.

The apartment itself is quite big and one of the nicer ones at Windsor Terrace w/ great views of the lower courtyard from all living room windows. The apartment would be generous sized for a single student or a couple.

Please PM me w/ ?'s

FYI-current furnishings include a leather couch, leather chair, dining room table w/ chairs, queen size pillowtop bed which is new, some end tables etc.

If you took this place over you could fly/drive to school with just your clothes and be ready to roll!
