I interviewed at DMU in October. I was accepted but decided not to go. However, I liked the school and their program. I wish you the best of luck.
Here are my suggestions:
1) Read the
www.interviewfeedback.com page.
2) If you have not already and you still have time, arrange to stay with a student. They are a great source of information and it will help you relax.
3) Be able to answer the basic "What does Osteopathic Medicine mean to you?" question.
4) The interview is a three-person panel and one is normally a student; it is pretty relaxed.
5) Have a few well-thought questions concerning the school, its curriculum, clinicals or anything else you want to know about. If they ask and you have some prepared, it presents a more professional appearance.
6) Besides that, just pay attention to the basics...dress conservatively, be well mannered and try not to be too nervous. You have an interview...that means you are qualified to be there. Now they want to meet you and see how you come across personally...be yourself and be honest.
Good Luck...I will be pulling for you!
