Do active reserve years count toward time in service for HPSP?

I know 50% of my prior commissioned time is supposed to count as "creditable service" for promotion purposes- but does anyone know if active reserve (not IRR) time in service counts, or will they only count the time I spent on active duty? I separated from AD and joined the reserves, so I have 10 years 4 months on active duty, but over 13 years total time in service when I include my reserve years (as reflected on my LES).

Yes, they count but not completely. Check with your local PSD for the breakdown.
