No. Adcoms don't even glance at MCAT scores or percentiles.
The entire basis of the MCAT and where it's value comes from is to see how you did relative to everyone else. So yes, ADCOMs are aware of what each score entails percentile wise and what is a good score and a poor one based on percentile. This is the only way they can evaluate applicants with both old and new MCAT scores for this cycle.
It depends on the school. Each has its own cutoffs or formulaic approach to assessing an application. Look at the MSAR for acceptee historic median scores at institutions in which you have an interest.I think I just lack the basic understanding of how . . . much emphasis is put on MCAT score for admission.
Lol. I was joking. How could you possibly think I was serious?
Lol sarcasm doesn't always travel well over the interwebs. People have said FAR worse in a completely serious manner on here.
Thanks for the great information!!OP this might be the droid your looking for:

Good thing I took the 2015 mcat. I'm way over 36Adcoms only look at mcat percentiles if the composite score is >= 36 (i.e. thirtysixorabove)
For all those with scores below 36, apps are immediately placed into the trash upon arrival.
