Went back and forth on whether to post this because there is a good chance that this person posts on here.
Had a peer tell me today that they have spent the last few weeks googling and whitebooking the address of notable adcoms (or important people anyway) at their target universities. They then send handwritten letters to their home, all in an attempt to boost their chances of being accepted. They believe it will help them stand out and show the school how committed they are.
Two primary questions:
Is this really what the med school application process has become? And what are the chances this turns out bad (meaning - is there any legal liability here?). Oh - and do you think this could actually work?
