so just as the title says, does the Adcom see what majors you have enrolled/droped out of from your transcript? like if i am a biochem/eco major now, and i drop lets say, biochem major, at the end of my college career, i come out with an economics major, does the Adcoms still see that i droped biochem major?

not from what i saw on my amcas application, which is apparantly exactly what amcas sends each school..

so no, they won't see that you had another major, but they will see any and all classes you have taken (unless dropped before getting a W)

What's the big deal? Everyone changes their major. I changed mine a ridiculous number of times.

even if it is on your transcript (which I doubt) there is no room for that information on AMCAS so schools won't see it (since they don't get to see your transcript)

It would not be on your AMCAS application but if you're accepted I believe schools want official copies of your transcript(s) which might reveal you've dropped a major. If you report on your application that you have one major then change or drop a dual major you should let schools you applied to know.. but like someone else said, people change majors all the time, it shouldn't be a big deal.

wuts the big deal?

here it is, i might switch my biochem I class to pass or fail cuze i prob wont come out with an A or A minus in it, and its one of my majors, i don't want them to see that i wussied out lol. its so embarssing.

If you changed it because you'd rather do economics, they won't care.

If you did it becasue you struggled with some science class, they'll see the C or whatever grade.

It may come up when asked WHY a pre-med student majored in economics. What are you going to tell them?

okay bumping this thread cuze it turns out i did bad on the second exam, not early as good as my first one for some unknown reason, i studied in the same fashion as last one tho 🙁. i do not understand why i sucked this bad but here are the options. i walk out with a B at the end or i can pass and fail this. this is biochem 1 during this summer.

what should i do in this case?

If it's your major requirement, don't you have to take the grade?

Even if you end up with a B, that's not going to hurt you. I recieved several B- and C+'s in my freshman and sophomore year and that didn't stop me from getting plenty of interviews. Just don't show a consistency of bad grades and you're going to be alright.

turns out i got a c+, so i passed lol. i feel like i dodged a bullet. honestly the class was bad, lack materials to study with. i took another 4 credit class with it and i got an A.
