Do adcoms read the class descriptions?

Going to be a junior in the upcomming year and looking to get the English prereq (and gen ed at my school).

I was thinking of taking an honors English class, except instead of being listed under "English," or as "ENG XXXH" its listed under an honors class, HPR.

Would med schools though realize that this is a lit class or does the prereqhave to be listed under English. So if an adcom was reading my classes they would know that the HPR class counts as an english class?

Thanks

When you add your courses to AMCAS, you need to identify the category of each class. You will identify that class under the English Language and Literature category. As long as AMCAS verifies it as an English course, that is all that matters.
