Do additional LORs matter to schools that have extended interview invitations?

I'm debating whether I should request a recommendation from a professor whose class in which I got 3.6. I don't think my submitted letters fill all the LOR requirements of every school so it won't hurt to get another one (I know that some schools seem a little 'lax about their requirements). Unfortunately, it was a fairly large and impersonal class so the professor doesn't know me. And 3.6 isn't stellar, but probably good enough that it won't be embarrassing to ask for a recommendation in person. I just have a strong aversion to requesting LORs.

So my question is this: how much benefit does an additional letter add to the application at a certain school if the application has already earned the applicant an interview? Does it matter at all since to get an interview means that you have already jumped through the first loop that is the application?

Thanks.

I think if they are interviewing you then the only thing they care about is you as a person so they want to see you face to face. I don't think stats or ECs/LORs matter at that point.

Won't hurt. I did it and I had successes.
