Do all programs acknowledge receipt of application? I've received only 5 acknowledgements so far! Does that mean other programs hav'n't received my application or not downloaded yet? Thanks for replies. My acknowledgements so far

No, some do not. Technically, they aren't required to. You can call the programs to confirm receipt, if you want.

I was wondering if others can post here too with the confirmations they're getting. It'll probably helps all of us! There are multiple posts on this forum about SF Mach folks not distributing or messing distibutions up, and hopefully with the electronic system now this will be much less. Still a possibility though. If someone who applied hasn't got a confirmation, whereas others have - then that's a red flag!

Mine so far (overlapping with eye4eye so wont mention those)....
Kentucky - requesting eye exam
WashU
Univ of South Carolina
Stanford
Michigan
Loma Linda
North Shore LIJ
SLU
Med Coll Wisc

Hope this helps!

Also - anyone have suggestions on whether email or phone call is better for following up!?

Phone is quicker and more definitive.

What did you get from Stanford? I applied there and never received a confirmation.

I also did not get a confirmation from Stanford.

What did you get for South Carolina? I did not get a confirmation from that program.

Thanks for the replies guys. See --- exactly what I was referring to - and was afraid may happen.

Am copying and pasting the replies:

Here's S. Carolina's....was dated 9-1:

And here's Stan's email dated 9-8: Well, OK guys and gals, now that I go back to the original email I think perhaps I was too quick to post. She actually wrote to ask about a PTAL, so technically it wasnt a confirmation per se....

Thank you for your interest in our program. We do require at Medical Board of California Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter (PTAL) with your application. Please send it as soon as you can. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Charlotte
