MBA programs are largely applied economics and applied psychology. (I know because I have an MBA from a well regarded business school.) If you are simply trying to acquire a working knowledge of the financial side of the world and you never took econ before, just take introduction to microeconomics before you go to DO school. You will find this course at any college or community college. 50% of what people do in business is simply an application of the principles students pick up in that 1 course.
If you find economics as fascinating as I do then an MBA program might be up your alley. You will certainly be in a better position to understand the economic side of health care.🙂
Per the KCUMB website "M.B.A. coursework begins during the summer between KCUMB students' first and second years of medical school. Students do not take courses in both programs simultaneously, except for two distance-learning M.B.A. electives during the final two years of their clinical rotations."
I had goofed up the time commitment before and I am very sorry if anyone was misled.
