I am going to be applying ACGME DR as DO student next year and had questions about 4rth year scheduling -
I have to schedule July through January.
July - DR or IR
August - DR or IR
September - ?
October - ?
November - ?
December -Radiation Oncology (in doctors office)
January - IM (in community hospital)

How does this look?
What should I do in the september, october, november times. School has no requirements.

Sounds reasonable. Do the best rotations to have time off for interviews. Nothing you do 4th year during interview season is going to help you with either radiology residency or intern year.

Make the best of it, 4th year is a good time.

Agree, make the whole year as easy as possible. ESPECIALLY October-January so you can hit as many interviews as you can and be worry free about missing important rotations. I also did a couple away DR rotations at the beginning like you have listed which is fine. Shoot for rotating in a subspecialty that a PD is in so you can get more face time and hopefully get a solid meaningful letter.

Otherwise, talk to 4th years ahead of you and find the best rotations to get some solid time off to get some trips in and really enjoy 4th year before the storm of intern year begins. Like above said, you still have intern year in between starting rads so nothing of 4th year will be of value in the long run other then maintaining mental health. Catch up on sleep, hit the gym and live life!
