Hi all -

I graduated from Touro University School of Osteopathic medicine in CA. Wondering if any other DOs have applied for a CA medical license and had any problems with their school not being on the approved list or COMLEX not counting for licensure? I understand the process is tedious and the website is unclear. I'll be finishing up an osteopathic residency in 2015. Thanks for any help!

Why would your school not be on the California approved list when it's in California? Doesn't make sense to me. I have 2 friends with CA licenses as a DO and they did not have issues.

You're looking at the wrong website. California has separate licensing boards for MDs and DOs. The "approved" list is the one put out by the MD licensing board. You want http://www.ombc.ca.gov/
