Not everyone stands during extractions - it's all operator preference. I've done operative standing up too.

I have been wanting to try some operative standing up. The only think I'm worried about is not being able to finely adjust RPMs with the rheostat.

I usually stand while giving anesthesia and during extractions. The rest of the time I sit, or run around doing exams!

I do most removable pros standing up. impressions, wax try ins, VDR/VDO, etc
