What do Osteopathic Medicine schools think of people applying to them more than once? Thank you.

I am a reapplicant so I've done a little research on this... from what I've gathered (given a grain of salt), I don't think they look down on reapplicants, as long as they've improved their application. I believe this is the case with most MD schools also.

Someone else can chime in on this. 👍

The part regarding DO schools is encouraging to hear, but I understand otherwise regarding MD schools. UC schools, for example, don't allow people to apply more than twice.

This is just my opinion, but the feeling that I get from medical schools is that reapplying is almost a right of passage. It is just another way to test how you handle failure. Some people will decide they can't get in and give up, others look at their weakness in their application, improve it, and come back stronger.

In the rejection letters I got from several MD schools last year they told me to call the office of admissions and find out what my weak spots were, then to reapply.

There's a question they usually ask on the primary or secondary I think, where they ask if you've reapplied and what you've done. Make sure you can answer that question well.

Whatever you do, don't use the exact same personal statment, exact same resume, exact same GPA and transcript. Figure out where you messed up and fix it!
