I plan on becoming an X Ray Tech and then working on a B.S. in Biology. I plan on earning an A.A.S. In Radiologic Technology from my local community college. After that I plan on taking a few more classes at the CC level and transfering they to a four year university towards a B.S. in Biology. I would attend the four year university part time and it would take 9 years to complete a B.S. in Biology. I would be 34 years old when I matriculate to medical school. My lifelong goal is to become a physician. Advice? Should I also volunteer and shadow? I was planning on doing this when I have time away from being an X Ray Tech and college. Is having several years of experience as an X Ray Tech going to help my application?

You should accumulate 50 hours of physician shadowing including primary care. Also 200+ hours of clinical volunteering.
