In a summer, I worked at a nailshop despite not having a license. I got paid in cash. I was actually good at the job, though, so no mistake or incident. Because of the "no license" fact, should I disclose this on my application???

If the mention of this job doesn't contribute anything useful to persuade admissions committee members that you should be admitted to their school, then I wouldn't list it. I don't think the matter of licensing would be relevant unless you brought it up somehow.

Thanks for replying. I just don't want them to think that I spent all my summer sleeping.

There isn't much likelihood that adcoms will even think about licensing requirements for nail salon workers (I didn't know they would be required).

Dealing with people, having steady hands, having been productive over the summer -- I think it ought to be listed.

The use of "disclose" made me think of a criminal conviction or IA.
