I'm a Junior and wondering if it's necessary to minor in something. Would d-schools even care? I rather just take a variety of different classes instead of focus on trying to attain a minor. Thanks

I am doing it but I really don't think they care...it's more for your own interest I think. It certainly isn't necessary, plenty of people get it in without a minor or a second major for that matter.

minor in art. they'll love it.

aadsas doesn't even ask for minors on the app and i don't think my transcript says anything about it so idk if schools even know about my chem minor

i minor in chemistry...don't know if that helped me but i did get in my top choices

If you're interested enough in a subject and can take classes that you'll be engaged in, then minor. Don't do it just to have a minor because no one will really care. Also, at most undergrad schools, you may already get an automatic minor in Chemistry through your pre-reqs (assuming that's not your major). But you have to make sure to declare the chem minor.
