Do I have to pay for this interview stuff?

So this may seem like a silly question, but do any dental schools pay for their applicants' plane tickets, hotels, food, etc.? I know that this is NOT the case with medicine, but it IS the case with science graduate schools. If so, I need to apply to those schools 😀 , b/c this is going to cost a lot of money. Any estimates as to how much this is going to cost for 4-6 schools?

it really depends on how far away the school is from your home. But from what I know all expenses for interviews are the student's responsibility. However, when you are invited for an interview the school usually provides you with the name of a hotel which will give you a discount if you are staying there to interview at a certain school. Food and transportation all vary based on the city you are traveling to. For example, New York City is much more expense than say other cities.

Well, I am a NY state resident so I only applied to Stonybrook, NYU and UMDNJ. I really don't want to go away for dental school so we'll see what happens.

Good luck with that. Have you gotten interviews yet? I am super fruststrated b/c I just moved a few weeks ago and have not been getting any of my mail. well I just found out, from calling the dental schools I applied to, that I got two interview invites that were sent in the mail like 3 weeks ago 😡 ! soooooo frustrating . . .
