Do I have to use the special transcript forms from AMCAS?

Is it necessary to use the special transcript request forms from AMCAS or can I just use my school's normal online transcript request system to send one to AMCAS?

By the time transcripts come out for this semester I wont be on a campus so it will slow down my application to mail those forms to registrar then have them sit in some room for a couple weeks before getting opened or something. (Because my grades probably won't be official and on my transcript until around June 1 anyway)

I've heard that people have had problems doing this (delays)

I heard that you can attach your amcas ID number, but my university doesn't seem to allow me to do this~


Has anyone had problems sending in an electronic request without an amcas form or ID?
