I'll have roughly 50 days to study for the MCAT, at 6 hours a day. I took a aamc diagnostic without finishing all prereqs and got a 29. I'm aiming for a 35 or higher. I have the EK subject books, EK audio osmosis, EK verbal 101, the entire TPRH set, and plan to get the EK 1001 set and practice AAMC's. The BR books are getting a lot of praise on the 3 month study schedule but do I really need them if I have these already? Would I run out of stuff to study within the 300 hours? Thanks in advance!

I say save forgo EK1001, except bio and verbal and get the br for ochem, chem, phys, and bio. Ek1001 is good for concept reinforcement, say if your averages are below 10, but the br books are GOLDEN due to their passages.

Get BR please, and do well on the mcat 😀

gl!👍

yea, I will have to change my mind.. 50 days does sound very short.. (I was 75% done with BR by 50 days)

Use your materials and maybe you can get some more practice tests squeezed in...

anyway good luck!👍

If you do get TBR, at least get the Physics, though I hear TBR is good for the other sciences as well. If not, I recommend Nova Physics, it is a good substitute for TBR. I prefer Nova Physics over TPR. I do not know how TPR compares with TPRH, but read somewhere TPR has more passages than TPRH.

Where do you get the AAMC diagnostic exam?

AAMC 3 is free at www.e-mcat.com I believe.

yeah that's where I took mine.

I can always start earlier, like right when finals end. I'm not worried about not fitting it all into the 300 hours (or 400 hours if i start earlier). I was initially worried I wouldn't have enough to study... I guess the question I had in mind was whether BR was worth the money for that extra supplementation to TPRH and EK, and it looks like the consensus is yes, at least for the sciences. I can't even mind them used on ebay or amazon though so I'll browse the classifieds here. Thanks guys for the recommendations!
