Do I need to address a leave of absence in secondary applications if it is already explained in my committee letter?

I took 4 months to take care of a family member who was recovering from heart surgery in 2020 during the pandemic, and this is explained in the premed packet/committee letter my university is sending to medical schools. Do I need to acknowledge this in medical school secondaries if there are no questions that explicitly ask about academic interruptions? I could put it in the "additional information" section, but I would prefer to use that space for other essays/to demonstrate fit

If not asked for it, you don't need to go out of your way to include it
