Do I need to address why America in my PS (Canadian applicant)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It's hard to get into a Canadian school.

This definitely plays a part. But, when I looked at the match statistics of US residency programs it seems Canadian MD grads are at a pretty big disadvantage.

I've always wanted to move and practice in America, and it seems doing residency in America opens up a lot of doors. Here, in Canada it is pretty tough to match into many specialties and the job market is tough for them as well. For my long term goals it makes more sense for me to do medical school in the States.

Would schools care about this at all? Or am I thinking similarly to most international/Canadian applicants.

Thanks for the response!

It sounds pretty much the same as what we hear from international applicants. They want to move here. It's hard to match as an FMG. They hope they will have better odds as a US grad.
