Hi, I am applying to medical schools this year but have not taken general physics in the US. I have a B.S. from a foreign country but one year graduate-level Physics and Math from one of the major universities on the east coast of the US and I was a Teaching Assistant for General Physics for two semesters while I was in that university. When I started premed studies, my premed advisor told me that I did not need to take Physics given my background. But today when I talked to another advisor, she seemed to be concerned about my not having taken General Physics in the US even though I had all this physics background. Does anyone know how negative an impact it will make on my application? Can I apply and be admitted without taking general physics or will medical schools not even look at my application? I appreciate your opinions. Thanks SNDers!
