Do I need two science professors? LOR

Hi,
I am in a very predicament here. My #1 & #2 schools, strongly recommends, 2 letters from 2 science professors. I am a non-degree student, and I have 1 science professor lined up, but when I emailed other science professors, they did not even reply back, or they replied with "i don't write letters unless the student worked in the lab for 1 year." I worked in a Psychology Lab for 1 year during undergraduate. I've seen that other schools ask for 4 letters, with 1 science professors. What do you guys suggest? Should I just apply next cycle? I hate working so hard in the classes and even getting A's, and professors not replying back.
I am taking the DAT in August as well. I have all my science pre-requisites, 3.66 GPA. 40hrs of shadowing which I could push to 100. 60hrs of volunteer, 300hrs of Research, & 500 hrs of paid tutoring.

If you intend on using individual letters, then yes, most schools require letters from at least two science professors. Of course, this requirement can vary from school to school, so definitely check out each school's website. Some speculate that you can bypass this requirement by obtaining a committee letter, but I'm not too sure about this. Regardless, getting a committee letter is usually a bit more work as it involves you getting multiple LORs for the committee to use, but it may be too late for you to get one now if you are applying this cycle.

As a last resort, consider asking your professors in person. Could be seen as a desperate move, but what other option you have other than waiting a whole year while taking another science class just for another letter? If you decide to wait a year, try to become well acquainted with your professor. Certainly be proactive in class, meet with your professor often, and do well on your exams. I personally usually give the professor a heads up either before the semester starts or halfway into the semester that one of my goals in taking this class is to obtain a letter of recommendation. If you follow these advice, the professor will more than likely not turn down a request at the end of the semester.

I know the struggle, but honestly, emailing them is not enough you should go in person!
Go before the semester ends.
and if you couldn't get that at all, at least get an LOR from math professors, math is other science.
So yeah, don't delay your future because of these letters. Go to these professors again and explain to them your situation.

You should meet with them in person. Dont give up yet. You are bound to find someone suitable to write you a LOR.
