I noticed on the forum online degrees are frowned upon.
Lucky for me before finding this forum I started a masters program at Southern New Hampshire and by the time I found this forum it was to late.
As a undergrad my father was sick on and off (4 years diagnosed twice with pancreatic cancer)due to having to travel back and further from PA to NY that whole year (Junior year)my grades suffered. So once I graduated I wanted to further my education not only to bring up my gpa but also to gain more knowledge and insight into psychology but needed something that was flexible where if I had to see my dad or have to move to New York I will be able to do that with no hassle.
So, I looked at various programs and picked Southern New Hampshire University.
I would like to apply to PHD/PSYD programs for fall 2017 and will be graduating with my masters in January. I am currently doubling up in classes so that I can graduate in January but might decide to graduate in March instead.
Is this a bad idea or overall will my application just be tossed because of my online degree.
