I think somebody talked Dean's letter should be one of the LOR in CAPPID. Is it right? I couldn't find any comment that we need Dean's letter as LOR in CAPPID.
I am applying for UIC and they say one of LOR should be from a dental practitioner. I graduated from a dental school almost 10years ago and Dean of my dental school now never know me, neither do I.🙁

I am planning to ask for LOR to my professor in dental school of my home country, my peer dentist in US, and my employer who is also a dentist in US since I worked as a general dentist in CA for 3 years. Are they enough for me?

Dean's letter is not the requirement of caapid but different schools require that our one LOR should be from dean. Also if u have letter from US dentist then its good addition. I have no idea about UIC.

hi, I passed CA dental licensure exam in 2003 and luckily got a job there in 2007. As far as I know, FTD cannot apply for CA license exam anymore since 2006 or something around.

I don't think u need the dean's letter (in your specific case). otherwise, one of the LOR being from the dean is standard.

I decided to send LORs without Dean's one because my applying schools do not require Dean's letter. Anyway, does CAPPID require Dean's letter? I don't think so....I think it depends on each school you are applying for.
