Awesome! Which did you find most helpful? (Oh and good job!!! Now you can finally kick it a lil and relax 🙂 !!!
Uh you're right about going back and checking answers, it could hurt. It was very weird because for organic I was scoring around 20-22 for each practice test. I think my anxiety just took over. Oh well, no excuses. Thank you and good luck 🙂Going back and checking your answers can hurt you sometimes.
PAT 20 (this is solid, no need for improvement here)
QR-17 (you don't even really need much better than this, it shows that you get the math though)
RC-19 (this is okay as well)
Bio-19 (not terrible, but im sure you would've liked a point or two higher)
Gen chem-18 ( what was hardest here? conceptual problems or math? you're math score makes me feel like it was your conceptual analysis that was off but you know better than I do)
Orgo-18 (I don't know what wrong here)
TS - 19
AA-18
So did you take any practice tests? I think the key to doing well on the DAT is:
1. Knowing the material
2. Practice questions -(you have to see a lot of different types)
3. Taking practice tests, the more ways you're exposed to a question the more comfortable I think you'll be. Just my 2 cents. I'll let you know how I do on the 21st, if I F*** it up im hopeless. Good luck dude!
I don't think a retake is necessary. Your gpa looks awesome. Assuming you have strong EC's and LOR, you're good to go!
I think your fine. Your scores are not as bad as your saying they are. I mean you have a 19 TS. Its not like 16 or 17, so dont sweat it! Your GPA is great though!
You're right, you have no idea how much money this whole process cost me!also you have to realize that you shouldn't just retake for the hell of it...there is an off chance that you won't do as good and plus this test is becoming ludicrously expensive...I honestly think you are good to go. I would put you slightly above average and don't get discouraged from all the high scores on here...remember SDN represents a minority of everyone that apply.

And yes, those scores are ridiculous on SDN haha! Thank you so much 🙂 I feel a little better
Hey guys, I just took my DAt today ...

Any advice?
My friend gave me a bunch of valerian root pills to take because she said I freak out during testing and get the jitters. She had some xanax before her exam because she was a nervous wreck too, worked for her. I haven't popped pills in years and years so I wouldn't do it myself but maybe something to calm you down would help like valerian root. I don't know yet I've been studying with the pills next to me but I hate taking supplements. Maybe a cocktail before the exam?
I don't think you should retake. Your GPA is amazing and your individual scores are either average or above average.
What boggles my mind tho. How was your TS a 19? I got an 18 in bio but 20 in gen chem and 21 in orgo and I still have a 19 in TS. I guess bio is weighed more? lol
anyways, you should be good. I have 19aa/ts with similar gpa and got one interview so far.
good luck!
What were your scores in bootcamp?
18AA19TS 23PAT here and a much lower gpa and I have two interview invites this cycle

You do not need to retake. Everything is above a 17. I have a friend applying this cycle and she has a 18/19/18 and a 16 in math with a 3.8. She has one interview. 3 out of 4 of the people accepted from my school last year had an 18AA. You're good.
First good job with your GPA. Yes DAT is a little low, but it all depends on what school you want to attend. The mean for Detroit Mercy is TS:20, AA:20, PA:20
Schools look at DAT retakes differently. Some take the average, others look at the most recent, and others look at the top score. Either way you want to do better the second time. I read on the ADEA guide that Detroit Mercy looks at your most recent score.
Good luck with your interview! Make sure you prepare well for it.
It's my understanding that if you get an interview, they must be ok with your numbers/other EC's and stuff. It's now mostly up to you to do the rest. If they weren't ok with your DAT score, I have a feeling they would have rejected you for it. I might be wrong, so someone please correct me.

yeah but the thing is i already emailed them and let them know ill be retaking it in november before they even invited me for an interview and then about a week later i got the invite...i am just wondering that maybe they invited me because i told them i would retake it? and i already took the semester off and everything, they are going to ask me if i am still retaking it, so my question is do i just say the truth and say that ill wait until after december 2nd to see what their decision is? or is that not something i am supposed to say? uh i don't know![]()
I really doubt they invited you just because you told them you are planning to retake the DAT.

Don't say anything about retaking the DAT if they don't bring it up. I really doubt they invited you just because you told them you are planning to retake the DAT.
I have similar dat score as you and got an invite. I don't plan on retaking my dat either..
