I really have been trying to get A's but it hasn't been working out too good. I'm a freshman and these are the grades I've got so far.

High School College Transfer Credit Courses:
Chem 1 w/ Lab- B
College Algebra- A
Comp I - A
Comp II- B

In my first semester I took these classes:
Bio I- B
Calculus- B
Linguistics- A
Intro Physics- C 🙁

I'm really not happy with the C in physics and I was thinking should I retake the class to get a better grade in it or if one C is okay. I'm taking my 1st year second semester pre reqs now and am going to try my best to get all A's this semester. :xf: But do I still have a chance of raising my gpa or getting in to pharmacy school with the grades I've gotten so far?

Please help, I'm desperate! :scared:

Yes you still have a chance. The most important thing is to get the highest grades possible from now on. You REALLY should get A's in chemistry. Make it your focus. Some might disagree with me, but you don't have to retake the physics if you are taking Physics II (and get an A). Just offset the lower GPA with some EC's/ experience and you will be fine.

You definitely have enough time to raise your GPA....I would sugest taking the Physics course again to raise the grade if its one of the Pre-req.
Just keep working hard and I'm sure you can get those A's!!! You have no reason to worry because you are just beginning! Good Luck!!!

Ideally, you shouldn't get anything below a B- in a pre-req.

Thanks so much for all your guys advice. I definitely will retake the physics class and hopefully this time do a lot better b/c yeah its a pre-req. I'm just going to Focus Focus Focus and hopefully it'll take me a long way. I was really stressed and now I'm actually thinking positively. Thanks once again!

You aren't screwed yet. Just put in a lot more time and try to learn evrything forward and backwards. Really anything below a B is going to hurt you. You can get A's if you wan them bad enough. goodluck

I'm guessing you're in the 3.3 range?

Just do your best and bring up your GPA as much as possible.

I started off my first semester of undergrad with a 3.0 and worked my way up since then. Balance out harder science classes with some general breadth requirements.
