DO is an OK way to go

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
This is an EXCELLENT link. I watched the first few minutes and I am already into it. Will watch the rest tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for posting this link! 👍

More points to this DO

I think he went osteopathic for his entire medical education 👍

OMG! Check out the size of the incision used in the Thoracoabdominal Aneurysm Repair. It's on the same webpage as the above link. It is a little over 5 minutes into it. F-ing huge.

No, but I respond to reported posts and PMs quicker than just happening to wander in so please feel free to report any post you feel is inappropriate. 🙂

Thank you for posting this, I am interested in Neurosurgery so I found this kind of inspiring. We always hear about how hard it is for a DO to do Neuro and it is nice to see it can be done.

Dr. Fletcher is also, chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Hermann. Admirable..

Great post. Thanks for the awesome link! It's great to see a DO doing Neurosurgery. I think it's good that DOs are filling the critical need our country has for primary care physicians, but the osteopathic profession really needs more great specialists like this one to bring it out of the shadows and establish it as a leader in the medical field.

Like I said before, you are an idiot and a troll. 👎

I love that icon- do you think the striped cat is enjoying it?

On a more serious note and to moderate my own thread... stop with this troll/idiot bs... I made this thread so people considering DO school would actually have some positive reinforcement.

Thanks.

I agree. Sorry about calling the troll an idiot. Great thread and very informative to know that not ALL people are closed minded in considering a DO as "second class". 👍

Please don't use personal attacks; fighting fire with fire will only get you both into trouble. Stay on topic and have some faith in your moderators, thank you.

unforunately, jbone and many other ppl on the board are so insecure about the profession that they cannot take a joke. although i am going to be a DO, i guess i'll wait to get the initials to make it ok to be a self-hater. i'm not going to say anything else sarcastic or otherwise. too many ppl in this house need sdn that getting my ip banned will get me beat up. so .....

If you are going to attempt to insult someone, please at least use a statement that makes sense.

This procedure was done on a child.
