Is this HF main? Or one of the DO programs. Because that is a BIG difference. HF Main has never taken a DO before. SIU and CC are baller GS matches. So is KU-Wichita even though most people wouldn't know that.

Overall a very solid GS list out of KCU.

After a little digging, it's the Allegiance program not the HF Main. Updated.

You’re correct, most wouldn’t know Wichita was a “baller” match!

Hell, “baller” and Wichita haven’t been used in the same sentence since the Wichita River Festival of 72’!

So from looking at NYIT-Jonesboro facebook page match day video, it seems like they match 95% (which is better than expected) of their inaugural class and 72% going primary care (36% of them FM). They also announced students matched Gas, Optho, Ortho, derm, IR, neurology, and a fair number EM.

It is. Integrated CT is pretty anti-DO. Most of the matched applicants every year come from elite schools.

Alright bros I pulled these from the class FB page so ignore the formatting, I did this for your enjoyment, and because I am bored.

OSU, as expected, kept most the class in state (by choice) so I think this is about as good as a match list can be for a DO school.

I am sure I am missing a few, will post the official list when it comes. Class size is 110, and I would say 90+ % are in OK or neighboring states with 75%+ staying in Oklahoma.

Also, I know the behind the scenes is hard to know, so at the bottom I will list some of the places our applicants interviewed that I know off the top of my head. Pretty much all of the places were ranked lower than oklahoma programs where they match.

OSU matched 3/3 ortho, 1/2 ENT, 100% rads, 100% anesthesia

Our biggest SOAP specialties were OB, ER, and general surgery likely due to our people not wanting to leave Oklahoma and gunning eachother out for the same spots when they should have applied broader.

Bless.

Interviews from OSU people that stood out:
Dermatology: Vandy, KU, University of Washington, Oregon Health Sciences, Case Western, Texas Tech among others (applicant had double digit derm invites)
IM: Cleveland Clinic Main , Baylor, SLU, Wash U, among others (applicant had double digit University IM invites)
Orthopaedics: Harvard/Mass Gen, Mayo Clinic Rochester, U. Buffalo, Michigan State (MD), St. Luke's among others (applicant had double digit ortho invites)
ENT: University of Oklahoma
Peds: University of Colorado, University of Utah, lots of HEAVY peds interviews our class did really well with peds I think
OB/Gyn: U. Buffalo, OU OKC (v tough on DOs), Cleveland Clinic, among other strong ones. This bro had 20+ invites and the field was way competitive this year for OB

I decided to post the above to show that If you are a competitive applicant (Research, letters, decent scores) you will be fine in the post-merger era.

Will update at a later time

Added University of Utah Pathology

RowanSOM has an amazing match this year. Of the notable ones so far from FB, we have one going to Yale, another going to NYP Columbia and Cornell, two going to Cleveland Clinic.
Can you please post the entire list?

Broward Health Ft. Lauderdale (2)
This makes me so happy as a KCU student seriously eyeing this program so that I can go back home. Wouldn't have expected a large presence from KC in this program!

I interviewed with the person who matched Ortho at Phoenix on one of my MD interviews. They didn’t apply to DO programs and went all in on MD ortho. 6 MD ortho auditions, ended up with around 10 interviews (including the ones they rotated at) they said so glad it paid off. The balls they must have had lol
