For anyone who has taken the new MCAT, do questions build on one another (i.e. the answer of one question aids you in answering another question as long as you answered that first question correctly?)

Or do questions exist mutually exclusive from one another while still relevant to the passage?

[This question does not refer to stand-alone questions.]

They are exclusive, but if you're stuck on one question you may unblock yourself while doing another question that stimulates a thought or makes you interpret a specific part of the passage.

@jowens817 this is great question that rarely gets asked in the community. The answer is no. The MCAT specifically writes answer choices in a way that will not allow students to use as a source of understanding.

@theonlytycrane the answer choices are definitely designed to stimulate a thought but that's not a good thing. If the answer choices are driving your thought processes you will have a very difficult time. That's because they are designed in a way to stimulate the wrong thoughts. This is to prevent students from getting the right answers if they have not read and understood the major points of the passage!
