How long after the committee meeting do the people call, and is it usually the interviewer?

Is this only some schools? only some interviewers? Please state your stories, with what school ....

Both my acceptances have been snail mailed, and each of the letters were dated about two days after the date my interviewers said the committee would meet. I know people who've gotten into schools where they sometimes call, sometimes mail. I think it depends on the interviewer, sometimes they like personally giving the good news (it makes their day to make someone else so happy).

It really depends on the school. Perhaps it would be easier if you just told everyone which schools you were interested in. Most schools usually notify by snail mail. There are a couple that make phone calls. I know stanford usually calls then you receive the letter in the mail a few days later. Pitt interviewers sometimes email the students that get accepted but sometimes they don't and the accepted people eventually find out when they get their packet. It all really depends on the school. Please let us know which schools you are interested in.

Good luck!

Since most schools notify by snail mail there was actually a thread on what the acceptance letters looked like(ie big or small, thick or thin, etc.). Do a search for "what do acceptance letters look like?" (or something like that) and you should find the thread.
