I was just wondering if it looks bad to take science classes over the summer, or online courses. I have taken organic chemistry 1 and 2, biology 2, and plan on taking genetics and biochem over the summer. (genetics and biochem will be online courses)

I have also taken 2 psychology courses online over the summer.

Will this be looked at negatively by MD schools?

most schools don't like online classes at all. summer classes won't be looked at as negatively.

really though check with your schools about the online. I'd hate you to take them and they not count.

No.

Seriously, unless your school sucks ass, no one is going to know it is an online class unless you tell them.

I took 4 classes in the summer (though non were pre-reqs) and it didn't hurt me...btw all were on study abroad

Also- most schools don't list an online class as being online on your transcript so I wouldn't worry about it unless it specifically is listed as online on your records... I took 4 online courses as well and no one said anything
