Hi,

Quick question; do DO schools average MCATs taken more than once? If so do you know which ones?

Thanks in advance for your time!!

Some do, some do it other ways, like most recent. Most will do the highest score and some even take the highest section from any test.

Download the CIB and look at all your schools...its free. Google CIB 2013 and look at the MCAT section for each school you care about

I don't think that is entirely accurate or at least I have never heard of a school that does. if that was the case, I would take the test 3 times and focus primarily on one section each time 😛

in general, no.
you have to look at each school's policy on how they use multiple scores.

and you could...as I said, MOST take the best score...but some take the best score from each section.

Crazy, but true...

This particular information is not listed in the CIB for most of the schools, so it's best to call the schools you are interested to find out.

From the 2013 CIB, only AZCOM, PNWU-COM, and RVUCOM listed that they will take the highest MCAT score within last three years in case of multiple scores reported.

i haven't heard of a single school not taking the highest score.

Here is an example of one school in... Missouri?

Therefore, STRONGLY suggest that to be competetive, you score in the high 20s.

A word of advice here: taking a high-stakes exam when you're not ready, but merely stubborn, is a VERY bad move. Do NOT make this mistake again.

does anyone have a more definitive list of schools that average together multiple scores? I scored a 22, 22, 28 and I'm having difficultly hearing back from every school I'm applying to after contacting them about this.
