Do PD's download all submitted applications?

When PD's check their inbox, do they download all applications sent to them or do they only download the applications they are interested in?

The way ERAS works, we must download everything and then sort it out on our end.

This leads to a somewhat crazy looking situation:

1. You apply to program X
2. Program X decides to reject you
3. As you add more information (letters/USMLE) to your application, Program X continues to download your information.

Your file can't be "complete" until Nov 1st, when MSPE's are released. Some programs wait until MSPE's are available, some do not.

If your file is complete and you want an update, email the program administrator nicely, either via direct email or through ERAS. Simply ask when you can expect a decision.

MSPE's are uploaded prior to Nov 1st, but they cannot be downloaded from the ERAS postoffice to programs until Nov 1st. This is built into ERAS, and is indepedent of your applicant status.

If you have a copy of your MSPE, nothing stops you from sending it to programs if you wish as you have already graduated.
