😀

I've seen quite a few physicians...most aren't all that physicially fit. I'd even go so far as to say their physical fitness is worse than average, just my observation though.

You should be able to bench your body weight, squat twice that and be able to do 20 pullups or you're doomed to fail in medicine. . . 😛 😀

If you work with handicapped people you might need to lift some weights. My friend had to lift weights to get ready for an internship working with handicapped children.

I'll move this over to the everyone forum where it won't get any responses...

Maybe that will just give me a reason to go to the gym more. I would hate to be turned down for residency somewhere because my pecks aren't big enough. <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

Physical strength will only get you so far. Be strong with the force instead. Seriously.

I'm a podiatrist and I assisted in many orthopedic surgeries during my residency. I'll tell you that there are certain procedures (like hip replacements) that DO require a modicum of strength. The bottom line is, though, that if you do not possess Herculean strength, there will probably be someone in the O.R. to lend a hand (or two plus a foot).

Just relax; I know you're excitement is building as the new movie is released tomorrow but it might do you good to put down the toy light saber and go and get some fresh air. . . 😛 😀

You should be strong enough to spread someone's ribs with your bare hands.

buff physicians = all well and good

physicians in the buff = bad
