do rejections come in the mail or email?

I've been seeing a lot of rejections and interview invites post put up. I'm wondering...

are rejections sent through snail mail or email? For interviews?

I'm out of town for the next month so how am I suppose to get the undated info?

Most rejections come via snail mail but some (Tufts, Temple, etc.) come via email.
Interview comes via snail mail/email/phone call.

I'm curious as to whether AADSAS updates rejection/interview status before an email or letter arrives. 🙄

I got a regular sized envelope in the mail today from Creighton and I was feeling low, anticipating the worst. I opened it to find out they didn't get my money or secondary yet, but I had already mailed it before the postmark on the letter they sent me.

Now I'm just waiting for them to send me the real letter.

I though you may have gotten a interview/rejection letter.

I wonder if they will be sending out the interview/rejection letters soon.

I called creighton and they said they will start reviewing applications around end of august... We'll probably hear back from them in September??

Most schools haven't started reviewing applications as well, not just creighton so just give them some time.

I looked at last year's threads, and it seemed like people were getting interview invites from a lot of schools by the first week of August.

Actually, I think when I did a search for last year's invites, Creighton was notifying people of invites right around this time last year. I think it was about July 27th. 🙄

Getting a rejection letter in the mail always felt more personal than a cold e-mail ;p Plus it gives you something tangible to tear up in the moment lol

Woah son, people got interview invites around end of july/early august for creighton last cycle?
The admissions coordinator told me they are very behind and have piles of applications that they need to process before handing them to the Admissions Committee. That's why she said look towards end of august. Oh yea, I called her like two weeks ago so maybe things have gotten better?

Well, maybe things have sped up since two weeks ago. Creighton did update my AADSAS to received/under review last week. So I'm not sure if this indicates anything about their progress. In a way, I wish I could just find out next week. Waiting for the school decision reminds me of being a kid and waiting for my mail order Legos to arrive. 😛

At least with the Legos I knew the outcome would be happy

As a side note, OSU said my application is in queue for revision by the admission committee.
