Do schools analyze planned course work/predict gpa?

27 mcat (8/9/10) good ECs, good application otherwise. Prerequisites Bs mostly in bio/chem/orgo/physics 1 with an A in physics 2. Applied to 15 schools in and around Northeast.

I registered for 3 retakes this fall and 1-2 cake classes, which should shoot my gpa up from a 3.1 to a 3.3-3.4 if I get As/Bs according to AACOMAS. Do schools tend to compute future gpas? Am I not getting in anywhere with my 3.1 this cycle? Do I have to wait til next year? Do I stand a chance as is?

They may put you on hold until your new grades come in (wait to look at your application until then), but they won't compute future grades. Nobody knows what those future grades might be.

You might get in, depending upon how good the rest of you packet is. The newer schools will be your best bet.

I am in the same boat. My science GPA is a 3.2 and my overall is a 3.6 and I want to retake 3 classes this fall semester to raise my science GPA to at least a 3.5. I already sent in my application but when those grades come in December will the schools re-evaluate my application with my new GPA?
