I believe the real lethal number is anything sub 3.0. Obviously you cannot expect to have a great chance with a 3.2 GPA and 22 MCAT (Obviously there are exceptions), but if you are at a 29/30/31 MCAT then its very possible with a good interview and ECs. In addition to this you need to consider your trend. If you have a 3.2 GPA that was consistent through your 4 years of college then you are in a worse position as someone who may have got a 1.7 GPA their first 3 semesters and then rolled out a near 4.0 GPA their last 2-3 years. The cuttoffs are a concern when you are a really good applicant but require adcoms to look into your application with more depth. Remember, schools get thousands upon thousands of applications so you really cannot blame them. Look into specific cutoffs for schools that you are interested in to see if its worth applying, but if you have a great story, upward trend, and a balanced application then its possible. Also consider retaking coursework since DO schools allow for grade replacement. Retaking anything below a C and below, especially an F, can rapidly increase your GPA above any cuttoff values.
