or do they expect you to eventually send it in without any notifications?


my NYU status in AADSAS is "app received, waiting for additional info" but I'm sure everything should be in.. just wondering if they would contact me if I was missing something

99% of the time they will not contact you. They have so many applications to go through that they figure if you aren't interested enough to follow up, then they will just pick someone else. I would call NYU and ask them if there is any additional information that they need from you. Be nice to the receptionists when you call, too, that can help move your application along.

Mine also says waiting for additional info! I gave them a call yesterday and they said that they haven't got to my application yet. They just want to notify us that our apps are received but they haven't actually got to check to see if it is complete yet. Don't worry and give em a few weeks!

when did they receive your application?

i got an email from them saying they've received my app on august 18

"Thank you for your interest in NYUCD.

Our Admissions officers are currently compiling application materials and will be in contact with you in approximately 2-3 weeks, via email, to confirm receipt of the items in your application. If any required materials are outstanding, you will be advised.

Important information about NYUCD's Admissions timeline and procedures:
* The last date to submit application materials for Fall 2010 admission is February 1, 2010. This includes DAT retakes.
* NYUCD conducts interviews from September through till the Spring. If you are invited for an interview, you will be notified via email.
* NYUCD does not require a supplemental application until the point of interview. If you are invited for an interview, you will be provided with a supplemental application at that time.
* The first acceptance notifications are sent via postal mail on December 1. After that date, it is rolling admissions.
* Please take a moment to add our Office of Admissions email address ([email protected]) to your address book to ensure all communication from our Office is routed directly to your email inbox, not a spam folder.

Note: At this time of year, we receive a very high volume of applications. We kindly request that applicants wait until they are contacted by an admissions office representative before emailing or calling to check their application status. you got this email after only two days of mailing your app? aww mine got mailed on 8/24 and i just got the email today too 🙁
