There's a TV show about an autistic doctor. How are there no programs for it?

There are top engineering schools with it. I'm autistic, engineer at a fortune five hundred company. Thinking about medicine.

I read some of your other posts — you should think about not giving people advice about what working in medicine is like as someone with no experience in it.

Medical schools select for applicants with academic and interpersonal skills that are of the highest standard as well as a variety of service-oriented extracurricular experience and clinical exposure.

Certain schools are mission-based in that they seek people with more community service or produce doctors that go on to fill the need of primary care or underserved populations. Other than that it’s a level playing field.

I have a math minor. I understand finances very well. If your an engineer and invest 20k a year from 22-58 you will be withw about five million. I'm hating the cube life so curious about other fields.

My great great grand Dad went to Mexican. My great went to nyu. For nee school. Both where post yours of duty.

I don’t know what that means, and I understand your interest in the finances, but what I’m saying is that you’ve commented about what it’s like to work in medicine with absolutely no experience in it.

Separately from that, if you’re truly interested in medicine it should not be in the interest of financial gain. There are better, easier ways to make good money that don’t require anywhere near the depth and length of training.

Interviews are going to be hard on an autist nontrad, as will the EC's. As will 3rd year and as will first year of residency. I don't recommend it - and most of the aspects that you hate about cubicle life will still be present in medicine.

My great great grandfather went to med school at Michigan. My great grandfather went to nyu. Two of my uncle' went to Alabama. So doctors are definitely in the family. I graduated from Purdue with a 3.6 in mechanical engineering. Sorry for the typo.

Troll. Nothing to see here.
