DO schools in good locations?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I just went to LECOM-Bradenton. The surrounding area is gorgeous if you like the beach/ water.

Pcom-ga location is underrated. The campus itself is meh, but Suwanee and the greater Gwinnett County is a great place to live. Very culturally diverse, amenities all over the place, and Atlanta is a 25-30 min drive.

Definitely not the stereotypical south.

Rowan SOM, 20 mins from philly via train, an hour from AC and Cherry Hill mall 10 mins away

I'm probably very biased after growing up in TX, but I think TCOM is in a pretty great location. There is a ton of good entertainment, GREAT food, and DFW is a very diverse place so you will get to interact with all kinds of patients

Western/tucom ca/NSU if you like nice weather.

Dmu kcom pikeville if you like southern culture.

Ccom tucom ny big city in the cold

Western University (Pomona) - you're about 20 miles from Downtown LA, 50 miles from Big Bear Mountain (awesome snowboarding), 65 miles to the beach.

What does "good location" mean to you?

AZCOM is in Phoenix-- dessert, but major city that a lot of people like.
Western-- Southern California
Nova & LECOM-B-- near the beach
LECOM-SH-- not far from Pittsburgh
RVUCOM-- Denver, near mountains
CCOM-- outskirts of Chicago

Ohh good catch! 🙂 I live right next to Western Pomona and it always takes me about an hour to get to the beach 🙂

I feel like if I were in a beautiful place, I'd rather explore than study. It has both a pro and a con 🙁

I was looking at this campus map of AZCOM , https://www.midwestern.edu/glendale-az-campus/maps-and-directions.html , and I noticed its in a desert.

What DO schools are in awesome locations? Which DO schools are in....deserts.

Thank you!

For the right people, DMU is the hidden gem of the Midwest. Number 2 farmers market in the entire US helps and an awesome state fair with deep fried everything. Not to mention the southern comfort feel of the city in general.

PNWU-COM right there up in the Yakima Valley ---> a big wine producer + Mountains 👍

To each their own but the Pacific northwest is the final destination for Ash Ketchem. CA resident though :bang:

Nycom is located in old westbury. A very high class location and its only 30 min away from the city. Touro-ny is located in Manhattan but the specific location where the school is located isn't the greatest, but gentrification is in progress

As crazy as it sounds, some people like the desert. The thing about Arizona is either you will love it, or you will hate it. Some folks like the sunshine, and 80 degrees winters. Other hate that there are (hardly) any trees or vegetation. Personally, I hate this dump and can't wait to get out of here 🙂

I would recommend Campbell in the Raleigh NC area. I don't think they charge out of state tuition, and its outside of the "big" city of Raleigh, but not too far. Nice people, decent weather, and a decent cost of living.
